These skillful glass objects were made in the style of the century old Murano glass art. Each piece has - through the use of high-value material - a special elegance and is, because of the use of traditional technologies, glass art in highest completion.
Used glass art technologies are for example:
- Fusing: is the fusing of glass of different colors and forms in a special oven at several hundred degree. The glass is heated so far that the single parts interconnect themselves durably.
- "Murrine" - or "Millefiori" (mille = thousand, fiori = blossom) - technology: variously colored small glass rods are fused to thin rods and cut up subsequently into round leaflets, that show the typical blossom pattern. These are melted up again to the trimming of most varied objects.
- Refinement with gold foil and silver foil.
Each piece is a hand crafted original and shows therefore smaller differences in color, size and form, which are however welcome and witness of the personality of each glass artist. It should be noted that these glass object was not produced in Murano/Italy.
Height: ca. 15 cm.
